Farm Silo Unstiffened from Westeel - Wide-Corr
Westeel's premium quality grain storage solution, the Wide-Corr farm silo, brings high capacity storage to today's farm with on-farm sizes ranging from 1,849 to 56,731 bushels. Wide-Corr is engineered for superior strength and utilizes heavy gauge, ultra-flat corrugated steel, which eliminates the need for internal or external stiffeners. The result is an extremely strong, expandable bin that provides the ultimate in bin clean-out.
Easy Bin Clean-Out
Wide-Corr's ultra-flat 4" wide corrugation pattern delivers far superior bin clean-out, virtually eliminating the possibility of grain hang-up. There is just nothing for grain to hang up on. Smooth bin interior and lack of internal stiffeners significantly reduces the likelihood of mould or insect infestation that can occur if hang-up happens.
Stand-Up Grain Bin Doors
Westeel's standard swing away door opens easily without the use of tools. You'll be able to enter the farm silo upright, and have more room to manoeuvre inside the grain bin when using equipment or emptying the bin of grain. For safety, a positive door tie back is used to securely hold the door in an open position. Available options include the heavy-duty door and the Ultra Door, which features a weather-tight seal.
Grain Storage with Computer Assisted Manufacturing
As with all Westeel products, a Wide-Corr farm silo benefits from a computer assisted manufacturing process that produces precision cut sheets that always fit, tighter seals at the connection points and an easier to assemble, better built bin overall. Hardware is conveniently packaged with assembly instructions in polyethylene pails.
Continuous Top Ring Angle on the Grain Bin Roof
Wide-Corr uses a continuous ring angle (far superior to lighter clip systems on competing bins) to anchor the roof and give it maximum resistance to high winds. Additional roof strength is provided by extra-deep ribs in the roof sheets, which increases overall structural integrity as well as providing improved resistance to snow loads. The roof's 30° slope promotes quick moisture run off while allowing for maximum useable bin capacity.
Expandable as Your Needs Grow
The Wide-Corr farm silo can be expanded to the maximum load of your foundation by adding extension tiers later as you need them, giving you a less costly option to buying more grain storage bins down the road.
