A Farm Use
Roller Mill from Laden Steel Fabricators
A Laden Roller Mill can be used in milling most kinds of feed materials
for livestock and poultry. The roller feed mill is suitable both
for cereals - wheat, barley, oats, maize, and other feed crops -
legumes, oil plants, etc. A roller mill can be used also as a mill,
a crusher, or a masher. With the variety of models available, these
roller mills can fit in on the farm, in poultry operations, hog
barns and on cattle feedlots.
Laden roller mills use the highest quality solid white iron rolls.
These chilled cast iron rolls are 50-55 Rockwell "C" to
a depth of at least ¾" which allows repeated corrugating
for long life. Large roll shafts all but eliminate shaft failure.
Spherical Roller Bearings
Shaft bearings are double row, spherical roller and self-aligning.
Taper bore bearings are held on shafts with adapter sleeves for
positive locking fit.
Roll Closure Mechanism
Roll movement operates on a heavy-duty eccentric system. Heavy-duty
coil springs assure protection from shock or foreign objects and
threaded roll stops prevent roll-to-roll contact.
Roller Mill Housing
The roller housing is designed to allow removal of both rolls from
the front without disturbing the feeder or scalper above. This makes
for easy roll handling.
Side panels, of 5/8" - ¾ " thickness (depending
upon the model), provide a very sturdy and rigid frame. See-through
drive guards are standard equipment
Milling Options
The following roller mill options can be designed as part of the
roller frame to suit your specific needs:
- Custom inlets or discharges
- Roller bases
- Scrapers for high moisture applications
- Magnet door assembly
- See-through drive guards
- Housing side panel thickness of ½" - 1" depending
on model
- Rotary scalpers to remove over size foreign materials.
- High capacity multi-roller frames
Roller Feed Mills Boost Nutritive Value
It is proved that the nutritive value of feed mixes is formed not
only by the composition of nutrients, but also by their physical
structure. Laden roller grinders can produce all kinds of feed mixes,
from grain to corn, to pulses and for nearly all categories of livestock.
The size of particles for the required granularity of feed mixes
can be controlled precisely and promptly. Nutritive value of grind
from roller mills increases digestibility, and thus the productive
efficiency of feed.
The grind from roller grinders is much more homogeneous texture
compared to the grind from hammer mills. The insignificant portion
of floury and powdery fractions in milk cow nutrition decreases
the occurrence of dietary and health problems. The dust-free texture
of coarse grinds is suitable especially for all poultry categories.
