The Storage Tank With the Poor Flow-ability Solution
All products that can be stored in metal storage tanks do not flow at the same rate. On this storage tank, a steep 55° cone will provide product flow for many commodities like soybean meal, flour or lime that are light and have poor flow-ability tendencies.
The steep cone storage tank also feature the smooth wall, seamless interior cone, which allows for ease of unloading, while ensuring that no commodity is trapped in the walls. This 55° cone allows all commodities to run smoothly.
This new steep cone storage tank has also been designed to run the more stubborn grain type, this will also include Urea and most granular fertilizers. The steep cone on the bottom and high ground clearance under the outlet slide accommodates conveyors. The bottom opening is covered by a rack and pinion slide gate for easy shut-off. There are 24” of clearance under the bottom slide to allow the use of a conveyor to move product.
The storage tank is constructed of all galvanized sheet steel and is powder coat paint finished both inside and out. The top opening is a spring loaded vented lid to allow for easy top access.
